About cosplay + cosplay plan

Hi everyone (^O^☆♪ in this post I will talk about cosplay from my point of view, and my cosplay plan. Have I ever cosplayed? Nope /shot. But I plan to,considering I'm going to have more free time in college (or not- probably will be even busier-) and planning to do freelance stuff later on.
I think most people already know what is cosplay. But no harm in explaining again right? Just some basic and some from my point of view, gathered from my cosplayer friends, and reading cosplay posts, etc~

What
Costume Play or Cosplay in short,is a kind of hobby / activity where you dress up as a character, usually from anime, game, manga,tv series, film, etc. And it's not limited to a human type character, you can be the monster, the mecha, the mascot, etc. Sometimes people also cosplayed as gijinka, the personified / humanoid of a mascot, software, monster, item, etc.
Back then, cosplay was just a pure hobby for the fans, but nowadays, most people do cosplay in a convention or event, sometimes including competition or cabaret. But of course there are still many of those who purely cosplay for hobby and foe their project's photo session. And then, there are a lot of people who'd prefer to become the kameko,or the photographer, who usually take/hunts for pics in a cosplayers in a event/con (or photses). It wouldn't be fun if you don't have a pic of your cosplay right?

Where & When
Where you can cosplay? home, mall, park, event, anywhere. But think, there's this common sense. Would you walk in mall wearing a Gundam suit, even though there's no event at all? nope. Would you walk in a park wearing a sexy clothes like those girls in Queen's Blade? naaah, are you an exhibitionist?
Most people only cosplay in a public place when they have a photo session,or when there's an event or convention going on. Sure, you can cosplay in a mall even though there's no event/con,but be sure to cosplay a modest/character with "normal" fashion, unless you want to have many eyes staring at you.

Why
The reasons might be different for everyone, but  people mostly cosplay because they're a fan of the character/anime/manga,or having a cosplay project with friends, just for fan, etc.Still, who wouldn't want to see their fav characters in real life (*´∀`*),especially if the cosplay is quality.

How
You can start cosplay by deciding character you want to cosplay as,looking for references, making the costume, add some finishing (make up,pose training, knowing the character's nature, etc),and wear it! Done, you've just cosplayed~(⌒▽⌒)the rest is just going to a event to let people know about your cosplay~
"Making the costume" might be the longest step for every cosplayer. But it's not like you have to make it yourself, you can bought it. "I made this costume by myself" sounds cool, and some people do think that wearing a costume you made by yourself is better,a plus point for your cosplay.
But what if you don't know how to sew the clothes? or there's no the correct material in your nearest store? Or the materials you need is more expensive than a ready costume a shop sell? Cosplay is meant to be enjoyed, and fun,so just have it your way~.Be sure to learn a little about sewing though,in case your costume is ripped or something like that.
There are a lot of online store that sell cosplay costumes, the most known are online shops in taobao site, you usually have to wait longer though, processing your order, tayloring, shipping, etc. And there's a risk of the lost shipment or the product turned out to be different from what you wanted. Simple way is to get your nearest tailor to make it,be sure to give the detailed references though and right material,it'll be less expensive since it's in your area,so no shipping fee.

Who
Anyone can cosplay~ from kiddos to older people, all of them can cosplay~ Just be sure to use safe stuff for children and older people. Just have fun <3

My opinion about cosplay
Cosplay is yeah, fun * . *) even though I haven't done it yet/slapped,but just by seeing my cosplayer friends getting all hyped up for an event, making their props and costume,cos-test,wow,I got excited too. Though it can get troubling too, especially for your wallet lol,who said costume, props, make up,and etc are cheap?
And you do have to maintain your shape, get skin treatment (since most cosplayers usually wear thick makeup, which is bad for skin),etc~ Everything got its bad and good.

And here's my cosplay plan (lol, even though there's a lot, they're just plans, cuz there's no way I can actually do all of them in a short time ;_;)

Aika Fuwa (Zetsuen no Tempest)
* v *) The first time I saw her design in anime,"Wow whatta beauty",and she's my fav heroine in zetsuen uuh <3 And simple costume for a starter! Dunno where to get the traditional school bag though-

Takane Enemoto (Kagerou Project)
Is planning to cosplay this with my friends, she'll be doing the Konoha <3 Another simple costume for starter

Sheryl Nome / Ranka Lee (Macross Frontier)
How I love this anime  <3 Sheryl and Ranka got a lot of beautiful costumes T v T). I prefer Sheryl's though, well, except her sexy clothes-maybe her casual, Diamond Crevasse,or white-Universal Bunny <3. But I'm just about Ranka's height lol,why can't I get taller- Ranka's nijiiro kuma-kuma costume is so cute though

Inori Yuzuriha-My Dearest booklet version (Guilty Crown)
* 3 *) Srsly, the first time I saw this design of her in the booklet,I've fallen in love with it,white + flowers dress, contrasting with her pink gradient hair, too beautiful ; 3 ;) I've browsed for people who sell this costume of her, but mostly doesn't look good, esp on the flower parts T _ T)
I guess I'll just choose her black/white casual dress, or her dress in second OP.

And there was a lot more I can't even remember them now lmao.

Okay, now I got to do a diet and then learning more makeup skill T 3 T) wow got to save up too sobs. 'kay bye <3
